With the current state of things, the economy looks like a bag of cats that was dropped into the dog pound. Bouncing to-and-fro, where it stops-why no one knows. So who’s at the helm of this behemoth anyway? Who’s calling the shots, because this may be one long protracted recession.

Look at the protocol here; we are in denial that there is a recession, but we have to admit there is, although, if we keep buying like there isn’t a recession then there really isn’t one is there? Well, that’s what I’ve noticed. People are doing pretty good at bucking up. California, I’ve heard claims of Real Estate going 18% in home sales, not going down, going up! Sure, things would go up because the fed kept dropping the interest rates until they realized that too many homes are going for cheap, causing major losses for banks, so, someone looses don’t they? Who? I don’t know, no one has shaken my pockets for their losses, but you can be sure that someone will feel it somewhere.

So now the fed tightens the reigns, They just don’t know what’s going to happen, or do they? Do they have control, or do we just carry a false sense of controlling the beast, but, all the while there really isn’t any true control.

Try being a stock broker in this market. I don’t envy them. There must be a maximum age limit of a stock broker, maybe 60, who knows, all that stress, then, the market soars, then it falls, who gets the blame anyway? It’s a hard life, but they must like it. Adrenaline.
Anyways, then there’s the Real Estate Broker. You know, they say that Real Estate Agents are amongst the most unpopular folks in business, and I’m just quoting statistics, because I have Real Estate Agents and Brokers as friends, and I wouldn’t want them to feel bad because I like them. BUT, they just hauled away a bunch of people that were strafing the system, taking advantage of their clients, what a mess! You’d think that someone would learn that we do put people in jail for stealing, or conniving, or whatever you would prefer to call it, but I’m glad they didn’t get me for foreclosure insurance, Vido comes to your home and says, “I’m gonna have to make you have foreclosure insurance, or I’m gonna kick you outta your home”, and the people, scared to death they are going to loose their home fall prey to the con-artists.

Then there’s Ed McMann. Well, he did spend alot of time showing up to people’s doorstep and giving away alot of money, but, why is it that everyone should make sure his 4 million dollar home doesn’t get foreclosed on? Please, he’s a big boy, and if he couldn’t figure out that at 80 years old he wasn’t going to keep making the payments, then there’s something a little strange going on there. I’m not accusing anyone but who gave him the loan? It wasn’t the person that kept the money going for the sweepstakes, should you give a loan to someone that won’t realize a payoff within their working years? Something happened, maybe he gambled, maybe he lost all his money, but you have to show some major bank to snag a 4 million dollar home, even in the loosey goosey kind of ‘free love’ credit we’ve had in the past.

So what keeps the mortgage companies and credit card companies from loaning money to people with poor credit? Ever think about that?

Somebody says: “whoa horsies, don’t loan anymore money to anybody without a credit score of 640 and above”, then they all stop in their tracks and, like good little soldiers start telling everyone below that line that the credit card companies aren’t interested in them anymore and that they aren’t interested in that 18% interest rate, that will give so many juicy penalties of $25 to $35 a pop, when someone “forgets” to make their payment on time. By the way, Banks make alot of money off of those fees and penalties.

Well folks, that’s probably enough for today. Sorry to get so preachy, but the emperor is going around wearing a thong now, and it’s quite fashionable to watch him do a strip-tease act but it’s not polite to let him know he’s got a mole on his…well, posterior. It’s like telling people to save gasoline and selling them cars that still get only 20 miles per gallon – really folks, who is dumb enough to think that they are really serious about saving gas? If they were we would have prepared for this a long time ago, wouldn’t we?

I would have thought someone beside Al Gore would have stood up and said “HEY! we are runnin’ out of gasoline, you guys need to make cars that get 50 miles to the gallon!” But no one got serious about that, so now we will all suffer. Or, they will go up to Alaska and the newly opened, formerly iced over areas they are currently fighting over, and pump the resadue from the ground, buying us enough time to polute the world enough to melt more ice to find more oil.

You know, I found this good video on the Polar Ice Melt, and if you haven’t seen anything like this before, I’ve seen movies showing glaciers that are now melting that have been there for a very long time, and they never thought this would happen, but it did.

More flood damage. I really feel for the people, if you watch some of the interviews, some people don’t want to move back. Their homes stink, the water gets everywhere and they have to cut out portions of the walls, new carpet, they never get the smell out.

You can’t imagine what it’s like unless you’ve been their folks.

Now look, Mr. Bush, excuse me, Mr. President. You will have to excuse us stupid and ignorant Americans while we watch this video. Forgive us. We are don’t realize that you were funded by the oil companies, you come from Texas, shall I go on? Ok.

They have water-powered cars out there. They can take ANY water that is clean just stop by your local stream and dip out what you need. IF they can make cars that run off of water, why are we still, as Americans driving fuel guzzling vehicles? Why didn’t we stress this 10 years ago? There are games afoot here, and we are all paying the price of our ignorance. There are now retro-fit kits being constructed for vehicles. These are still out of reach, price-wise, but, none-the-less available.

IS America run by Mr. President Bush, or by those who put him there? Even so, can we lay all the blame on him? No. We all have a stake in this and who we vote for and why is what is important here, AND, how we live our lives each day.

I wonder, and forgive me for expostulating here, if I were a big oil man, trying to hold on to my empire, along with my buddies, would I work an increase of oil to my benefit? Would I do like Nintendo did to it’s games and make oil hard to get? Valuing it’s price up so I can reap the benefits of squeezing the masses? Now don’t think they don’t consider this, remember the folks from Enron? Did they care about anyone? No. Where does the political expression come from “let them eat cake”? A kind and generous heart? No.

I am not talking against the government, and we need good government. But, we need government that is under control, not the other way around, government that rules without boundries, that pulls away our rights, sounds like Star Wars, the last movie where the Evil Emperor is given massive power to do whatever is necessary. Well folks, absolute power corrupts absolutely. If you knew the rights we have had taken away, and that any one of us could, say be at an airport and shout “bomb”, they can arrest you, and lock you away while torturing you for the rest of your life, and without trial, jury, or even a lawyer. Don’t think so? Check out the new rules folks. Frog in the water baby, and it’s getting hotter by the minute.

So what do you think will happen, if they raise gas so high that people start getting very nervous? Won’t those who are already on the edge begin to, say, do things like rioting? haven’t they done this before? What about L.A.? When the black people got tired of everyone of them being profiled? Sure, this isn’t about racism, it’s about every poor person that can’t get in their car and drive to the store because it costs them too much to live, and don’t think for two seconds that they won’t get upset. “Excuse me Mr. Poor Person, could you just passively take being hungry, and watching your kids starve so I can live my life in peace”? Think about it folks.

So who upped the credit rules so bankruptcy was much more difficult, and conveniently, just before the housing went up and then flopped down like a huge rock in a mud pool? That was smart, but didn’t they know, with halos on their heads, and people quitting the administration, that oil would go up, and that housing would fail? Oh, they are still selling those homes, but many purchased those homes and now are out on the street with families, hoping to survive. That’s nothing, of course to the poor victims of the flooding and tornadoes and etc. that is destroying homes in, not only the U.S., but the world. That’s right. Many more victims then you could possibly imagine. So I am appreciative of what we have, but still, could those wearing the halos, espousing greatness and equality for all Americans and mankind, etc. just behave for the interest of the country and not start pissing matches with foreign countries so they can up the rules so that, when things get very bad here in the States, they can take you away without so much as a trial if you object to starving?

Think about it, and if you think i’m wrong, and I hope I am, then live in a bubble, but realize that everything that has happened in the economy was carefully thought out and the statistics done on potential losses, by think tanks, well in advance of all of this happening.

I just wanted to let everyone know about a very good article I found from someone, his name is Allen Taylor. He is so positive; this man has the right attitude, and looks like he knows what he’s talking about.

ONE thing I like to tell people, especially when the market looks a little crazy, maybe they are making money, maybe losing, but ALWAYS, you are the person with the cup half full, never the cup half empty. If you were given a lemon tree for your birthday, you plant it and you make it work for you, and you help others-the golden rule.

Well, this one was bad. Many years ago, Tesla set up a unique system where he could direct electricity to special “lightbulbs” without any wires. Don’t believe it? History moves on none-the-less. Check the net. He picked Colorado for a reason and he actually did alot more than this, the man claimed he could crack the world in two. Anyway, a bit of trivia. Hey, you should know that tornadoes don’t happen in Colorado.

This tornado flew over the top of a friends home, they were spared, but it wasn’t a good experience.

Now, he claimed that they had golf ball sized hail, I don’t know I should have had him save it in the freezer.

You know, I had to ask myself, should I post the things I’m seeing, going on in the World, the United States. What relevance is it, am I “hyping” am I focusing too much on the negative, would I go up on a rooftop of Cedar Rapids and look around, yes. Of course yes. So Youtube brings us pictures of things that are happening now and we watch them, hoping that they don’t come to our own town, hoping that if they did we would be the ones that aren’t effected. I don’t know, but I’m going to start posting some of the things friends send to me, close calls they have had, etc. Tornadoes where they shouldn’t be. If someone is reading this from an area constantly effected by tornadoes, then they would consider us lightweights because we have no idea what it’s like to see these things let-alone be in it’s path.

I suppose we need to see the reality, not the entertainment value these pictures represent and, in our hearts we need to care. Am I preaching? I don’t know, someone has to say this. It’s like the guys that stood around when the older man was hit and lying on the road, where a car could still have hit him, and no one would pull him out of the way. Maybe they were in shock, but if you were on the ground, wouldn’t you then want someone to help you out? If that were your grandfather wouldn’t you be in tears? Who knows. I just write about it.

Ok, let’s face it, he’s black. So? Could he do a good job? Probably. I don’t care what color he is, can the man do the job? Does he have the support the President of the United States needs to run the country? Would he last more than a year before someone “removed” him like they have other incredible Black people in the past? These are just some of the questions we should be asking.

McCain is tough, like nails. Hillary could do the job, but there are die-hards in power that would quickly squash that, besides, most of the world that we have, shall we say “troubles with”, still believe that women are slaves. So what happens is, the people in the other countries think you are weak if you have a woman President. Is that fair? No, of course not, but that’s part of why we don’t like them and they don’t like us, I guess.

They want Obama to run. Really, they do. First, they know he won’t get elected (no insult inferred here folks, just reality) so they want him to run. It’s just my opinion, but I think they fear Hillary running for President because I truly believe she stands the best chance.

Obama needs 90% backup from everyone around him to succeed, does he have that?

Now, look, you don’t go and make a man President that say’s “I make mistakes, live with it”. Would you take your car to get the engine fixed by a man who meets you at the counter with grease all over his clothes and says “I make mistakes, live with it?” Ok, so he didn’t exactly say that, but that was what was inferred. Everyone needs to grab a bit more of a reality check and understand that they already know who’s going to be President and unless some incredible thing happens, this is just a show. Enjoy the elections because they are there for your entertainment. They do rally the U.S. together, that’s probably why we live with the facade.

Never hate a man because of the color of his skin, don’t hate period and you’ll feel better about yourself and everything around you.

Stagflation-no, it’s not a wild party, it’s something that happens and we won’t like it when it does, if it does, if it hasn’t begun already. The rising unemployment, gas prices on the rise, and if they don’t raise the prices in the shops, they make less money while being charged more for wholesale goods-they lay off, they don’t buy that new Mercedes, they don’t take that second vacation, they don’t buy those $150.00 pair of Tennis shoes, they take the cheaper chicken-so what’s wrong with chicken? Anyway, it’s the food chain folks; stagnation.

Shoot from the hip economic policies? I don’t know, maybe they should start another war, this one got us into trouble, hey! let’s ask some of our friends over in the middle east to lower the price of crude oil, I bet they’d be more than happy to help the poor Americans that decided to park themselves permanantly over in Iraq, “just visiting folks, don’t get nervous, we didn’t like the guy you had running things and we just decided that you needed new management, and someday we’ll get around to that too, don’t rush me! But don’t worry. Meanwhile we’ll just help ourselves to your oil, if you don’t mind.”

Uh, oh, now I’m sticking my neck out- there I go again. The one good thing about the war is that we stood behind our troops, they did what they had too, but please, let’s get them back to their families-if we can. A little off topic, but what caused all of this? Was it the trickle down theory? Some say it takes 15 years for the trickle down to work, that’s sort of like evolution-if they can’t explain it they just tack on a few billion years.

Maybe the trickle down theory does work, but you used to make enough money if just the man worked (not infringing on the ladies rights to work here, but follow with me) and sure, at times both had to work, it just seems like that’s obligatory, you both may well have to work, and don’t think that this recession will make that any easier. Please, Mr Bush, sorry, Mr President, don’t trickle on us anymore, please just help us to get good jobs and raise our families, and have freedom again. Still, we really can’t complain here, this is a wonderful place still, and we can’t forget that just because we haven’t poked our nose outside of the U.S. and seen how bad it is all over the place- I’ll take trickle.

Now I’m not trying to lay blame, they say genius skips a generation, why not two? Who knows, maybe they did the whole “make credit easy for everyone” thing and thought we would never have a recession-where no one could pay back their adjustable-rate-loan-on-their-massively-overpriced-home. Hey, it could happen, I mean, if you just close your eyes and spin around before you pin the tail on the economic forecast- lot’s of interesting things can happen; just tell everyone to keep spending-it works! Well, if you believe in that sort of thing anyway.
