You know, I had to ask myself, should I post the things I’m seeing, going on in the World, the United States. What relevance is it, am I “hyping” am I focusing too much on the negative, would I go up on a rooftop of Cedar Rapids and look around, yes. Of course yes. So Youtube brings us pictures of things that are happening now and we watch them, hoping that they don’t come to our own town, hoping that if they did we would be the ones that aren’t effected. I don’t know, but I’m going to start posting some of the things friends send to me, close calls they have had, etc. Tornadoes where they shouldn’t be. If someone is reading this from an area constantly effected by tornadoes, then they would consider us lightweights because we have no idea what it’s like to see these things let-alone be in it’s path.
I suppose we need to see the reality, not the entertainment value these pictures represent and, in our hearts we need to care. Am I preaching? I don’t know, someone has to say this. It’s like the guys that stood around when the older man was hit and lying on the road, where a car could still have hit him, and no one would pull him out of the way. Maybe they were in shock, but if you were on the ground, wouldn’t you then want someone to help you out? If that were your grandfather wouldn’t you be in tears? Who knows. I just write about it.
